Scope

Cineducation is the national association that holds Switzerland’s film education landscape together. Festivals, school projects, specialised cinemas and university institutes. A diverse scene that lives off precisely that: exchange. The previous digital presence no longer did this role justice. Visually outdated, costly to maintain and plagued by persistent bugs in its multilingual display. For an association communicating in three national languages, that was a real obstacle. New members struggled to find their way in, content was cumbersome to publish, and the site failed to convey what the organisation actually is: vibrant, connected, at the pulse of film culture.

Approach

Together with Robert Köhler, who developed the visual identity for the relaunch, we rethought the website from the ground up. At the centre stood one question: how do you showcase a variety of different member organisations without the whole becoming fragmented? The answer lies in a clear, unified presentation that gives each association and institution its own space while making the federation as a whole tangible. News and activities can be published easily. From a workshop in Solothurn to the Filmbildungstisch. Multilingualism is no longer a stumbling block but an integral part of the system. A central element is the new membership form. Anyone active in film education or looking to contribute can apply directly through the website. Film-Connect only needs to review and approve incoming applications, the rest runs in structured fashion in the background.

Impact

Film-Connect today has a presence that fits the cause. Modern, clear and inviting. The administrative effort of maintaining content has dropped noticeably, new members find a clear path into the association, and multilingual communication works reliably across all language regions. Most importantly, Switzerland’s film education landscape has gained a platform that matches its dedication.

For the first time, we have a presence that shows who we really are. A vibrant network making film education possible across Switzerland. Ida understood from the very beginning what we are about.
